It is just coffee with some ice cream, but for me – it’s a flashback to my teens. I mastered the drink during super hot summer in the southern Russia where our family lived, temperatures were soaring to 35-37°C (over 95°F), no air conditioning of course. That coffee drink was our high for a day. I made it very long lasting by adding a layer of ice to already ice cold coffee, and loading ice cream on top of the ice so it doesn’t melt till you stir it. You can add a scoop, or two or three. I was in control of swirling cold refreshing coffee into creamy, sweet and rich drink. And adding Kahlua to cold coffee makes it last even longer.
