Pig in a gluten free blanket.

Pig in a gluten free blanket.

The blanket is actually a dish of it’s own. Roasted with some olive oil disks of cabbage can easily be eaten as a separate dish with sprinkle of balsamic, roasted seeds or hummus, or be a great side for fish or chicken. Usually the outer, well browned layers go fast, so I used leftovers as a blankets for my pigs.

Another variation of not really a blanket, but more of a handkerchief – sage leaves, which I have plenty in my garden. Goes so well with Italian sausages, just cut them into inch wide pieces and put on a skewers with sage leaves in between. Unbelievably fragrant!

  1. Stella,

You cook many delicious dietary dishes. And they are perfectly healthy. But when you look at their pictures and recipes you want them ALL! And such an amount of food will ruin any diet. This food looks irresistible!
