I was looking for something to smear on rye bread, but a littler lighter and more exciting than regular cream cheese. So I started to mix cream cheese with sour cream, adding spoon at a time to lighten it up and for the excitement – dijon mustard, horseradish and chives.
Surprisingly it pairs great with both salty salmon and sweet vegetables – carrots, celery, radish or small sweet peppers. Or to put it all together – stuff small sweet peppers halves with it, put cherry tomatoes inside and top it with anchovies. Such appetizer looks colorful and makes quite a splash of flavors in your mouth.
